Wellness Workdays, a Massachusetts-based provider of corporate wellness programs, has acquired Occupational Medical Consulting LLC, based in Leeds.

The occupational health consultancy designs and implements health and wellness programs nationwide and will operate as OMC Wellness, a subsidiary of Wellness Workdays.

Founded in 1996, OMC is known for its wellness program management, health coaching and proprietary wellness software, according to Wellness Workdays. His unique and effective approach to behavior change has resulted in established participation rates in wellness programs well above national norms.

“OMC offers Wellness Workdays an exciting opportunity to further improve and expand its wellness offering,” said Debra Wein, founder and CEO of Wellness Workdays and CEO of OMC. “The organization shares our common vision for a results-oriented approach to wellness and a passion and commitment to promoting the health and wellbeing of employees. The acquisition brings together our proprietary approach to wellness with the highly qualified OMC health trainers to achieve better health outcomes and ultimately healthier employees. “

Wellness Workdays announced in its press release that OMC customers have seen reductions in behavioral health risks and cost risks that have been shown to reduce and prevent excessive medical expenses and increases in insurance premiums.
