The Lagos Business School (LBS) has the 9th edition of the annual Africa Business Conference on the topic “Africa as a lever for global growth; Creation of opportunities in emerging growth sectors ”, which is to take place virtually on Saturday, November 27, 2021. The keynote speaker will be Flutterwave’s Chief Operating Officer, Bode Abifarin.

The Africa Business Conference is an annual forum for business leaders, financiers and policy makers across Africa and the world; including investors looking to do business in Africa to generate insights and trends to influence value creation and lead the continent to a progressive economy.

Lately, opportunities have increased dramatically in some sectors of the African economy. Sectors with growth opportunities in Africa include healthcare, fintech, food and agricultural processing, construction and light industry, according to the Harvard Business Review. Not only do Africans have the opportunity to explore these sectors, but the high growth and employment potential and high profit margins associated with these industries also provide Africa with a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to global growth.

It is therefore important that companies, individuals and organizations interested in Africa’s long-term growth are strategically positioned to identify, participate and seize these opportunities for the benefit of the continent. The conference aims to virtually bring together over 1,200 participants from various institutions and networks in fintech, agriculture, youth and skills development, fashion, retail and creative services.

The tremendous potential that these sectors can create in the African continent is significant as these sectors are led by young people, create jobs, promote food sustainability and attract viable long-term investments that are critical to delivering the results that Make Africa globally competitive.

Registration for the conference is free and open to everyone.
