TARRYTOWN, NY – (BUSINESS WIRE) – IMA Group today announced the acquisition of Orchard Medical Consulting, the company’s fourth such venture in 24 months. The latest expansion adds case and disability management capabilities to the company’s extensive clinical programs and services, and strengthens its service offering and geographic coverage.
“As a clinically focused company, IMA Group strives to create quality companies that share our customer-centric culture,” said Doug Markham, IMA Group’s chief strategy officer. “Orchard’s reputation, skills and excellent track record in improving outcomes for injured workers translate into faster claims outcomes and improved outcomes for customers.”
Orchard’s services include a dedicated team of trained and experienced RN case managers overseen by a panel of industry experts. All nurses are fully trained and have an average of over 18 years of case management experience, making the team one of the most experienced in the industry.
Orchard nurses have won numerous industry awards, serve on boards and commissions, and are advisors on the advisory board for national treatment guidelines. In addition, Orchard intentionally keeps the record-to-nurse ratio below the industry average to ensure the highest level of care while getting the best outcomes for injured workers and customers.
In addition to nursing case management, Orchard offers disaster case management and an aggressive injury management program that allows nurses to coordinate first aid as soon as an injury occurs in the workplace.
“In our fragmented healthcare system, coordinating injury care is more important than ever,” said Robin Orchard, President of Orchard Medical Consulting. “We are excited to add our skills to the IMA Group’s robust portfolio of behavioral and medical assessments and programs. Together, we are providing the industry with an independent, highly personalized, and results-driven choice for the industry’s case management needs. ”
Dr. Mark Weinberger, President of IMA Group, added, “Our company’s acquisition of Orchard expands our ability to help people get back to work and be productive.”
The terms of the takeover were not disclosed by the privately held company. All key leadership positions at Orchard will remain and the company will continue to operate under its current name.
Bailey Southwell & Co. acted as exclusive strategic and financial advisor to Orchard Medical on the transaction.
